Treating Reflux with Drugs is a Loser

I would gladly tell you the reflux/acid blocker story, but Dr. Ballard has done such a magnificent job in this short animated YouTube video, that I'll let you watch it and then be available to answer questions. Click here to watch, learn, change, and not lose your health.

Chiropractors Treating Cancer Patients

Things just keepuh changin'. There are chiropractors on staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, a highly acclaimed cancer treatment organization.

Just this evening I participated in a webinar entitled "Chiropractic Care for Cancer Patients", that was sponsored by the American Chiropractic Association, and presented by Dr. Jeffrey A. Sklar, a chiropractor on staff at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

We are seeing more and more cooperation on the parts of healthcare providers, for the good of the patient; as it should be.

Dr. Mark Hyman Said Hello to Me

You'd think I had a crush on him; but it is actually enormous admiration and deep gratitude. Dr. Hyman is one of the leading doctors in the world; not just in healing patients, but in healing the American disease-care system. When you read about Dr. Hyman you will see that he is Chairman of the Institute for Functional Medicine. He is on the Board of Directors of The Center for Mind-Body Medicine. He is also on the Board of Advisors of Memhet Oz’s HealthCorps, which tackles the obesity epidemic by “educating the student body” in American high schools about nutrition, fitness and mental resilience.

Dr. Hyman has testified before the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and has consulted with the Surgeon General on diabetes prevention. He has testified before the Senate Working Group on Health Care Reform on Functional Medicine, and participated in the White House Forum on Prevention and Wellness in June 2009. In June 2010, Dr. Hyman was nominated by Senator Tom Harkin for the President’s Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion and Integrative and Public Health, a 25-person group to advise the Administration and the new National Council on Prevention, Health Promotion and Public Health.

With Drs. Dean Ornish and Michael Roizen, Dr. Hyman crafted and helped to introduce the Take Back Your Health Act of 2009 into the United States Senate, to provide for reimbursement of lifestyle treatment of chronic disease. He continues to work in Washington on health reform, recently testifying before a Congressional hearing on Functional Medicine, nutrition and the use of dietary supplements.

So, as you can imagine, it is an honor to be acknowledged in a Twitter by Mark, my good friend and esteemed colleague!

Life Hard Enough?

photo courtesy of tourist on earth at creative commons
If life is hard enough, consider rolling it back to livable, maybe even to an enjoyable level, by removing the dairy, gluten, refined starch and sugar from your diet for 30 days.

If things get too good, you can always start eating them again.

When you try this, you probably won't need to take 2 aspirin, and you probably will call me in the morning, but just to tell me how much better life is.

You can afford this treatment. Occupy it.

Oprah's Got a Book List - So Do I

This is the next book on health that I would like you to read!

I recently listened to a one-hour interview with Dr. Gundry. He is a brilliant cardiovascular surgeon who became more brilliant when he realized that what we eat is much more powerful and beneficial than surgery. He now has a center in Palm Springs where he helps patients reverse heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, cancers and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.

My own kids are already starting to read this book for my birthday present.

Let me know what you think!
